Austin Hayes Limited have a history of over 65 year’s unbroken service for the refurbishment of ammunition packaging and ancillary components for the Ministry of Defence.
Austin Hayes Ltd is built around its people. With excellent employee retention, most staff members have been with the organisation for many years, developing strong and lasting relationships with their clients. They consider the quality of training and accreditation of their employees to be paramount.
To give Nick Eagleton the greatest opportunity and support in his new role as General Manager of the business, it was decided by Company Director, Steve Graves, to provide the opportunity for two emerging team supervisors to receive some personal development training to support them with the increasing people side of their roles, laying a solid foundation for sustaining the business for many more years to come.
As a result, over the period of May to October 2018, Anthony Preston and Jamie Wood undertook online training with Xenonex with the aim of achieving an ILM Level 3 Award in Leadership & Management. This was supported by face-to-face tutorials with a Xenonex assessor.
To achieve this, they completed two e-learning modules, ‘You As Leader and Manager’ and ‘Developing Yourself and Others’, both of which are aligned with the ILM. They completed one assignment per module, which were assessed and passed, resulting in the successful completion of the course.
With this ILM Level 3 award, Jamie Wood and Anthony Preston now have an internationally recognised qualification that assists them in supporting their Line Manager, Nick Eagleton, in further progressing this established business.
