We believe an Internal Coach plays a vital role in improving organisational engagement, motivation and performance, and hence Internal Coaches benefit significantly from collaborating with other Internal Coaches in order to share best practice when developing and embedding coaching cultures.
The Northern Coaching Network was established in 2018, and has had enormous success in getting Internal Coaches together from over 75 organisations across the North of England. It is a free membership network that is event-based.
Our events are an engaging mix of speakers, presentations, round table discussions, interactive sessions, CPD and supervision. Post Covid, these events have been delivered online with great success.
The Northern Coaching Network is open to any organisation looking to develop and embed an coaching culture, from those at the very start of their journeys through to those that are fully developed. NCN events are attended by Senior Leaders, Heads of L&D, HR Directors, Lead Coaches and Internal Coaches.
The NCN was co-founded by Suzanna Prout, Managing Director of Xenonex Ltd, and Catherine Boddington, formerly Head of L&D at Sky Betting and Gaming in June 2018.
Having worked as a Senior Coach at KPMG, Suzanna recognised the benefits in getting Internal Coaches together to learn from one another and share best practice, co-coach and co-supervise. Suzanna chairs the steering group and the events are organised and managed by the Xenonex team. The NCN steering group comprises members from the following organisations: BBC; CO-OP; Deloitte; Skipton Building Society; Leeds Beckett University; Barclays Bank; Chatter; and Sky Betting and Gaming.

"Internal Coaches face their own unique challenges and NCN provides a great opportunity to network with, and learn from, other Internal Coaches in order to share best practice. We can honestly say that at every event, every single attendee will come away with something positive!"
